i like lists.

here are some lists about my day today.  (it was one of those “i don’t feel like i accomplished much except feeding and caring for my children” days, so i thought i’d do this to give it a little more substance in my mind.)

10 artists i heard on my iPod at the gym:

  • vampire weekend
  • rascal flatts
  • miranda lambert
  • michael jackson
  • caedmon’s call
  • some bluegrass band i can’t remember the name of
  • colbie collait
  • jet
  • starfield
  • nickel creek

10 things i ate:

  • poached eggs on toast
  • watermelon
  • chicken ramen noodles
  • chick peas
  • approx. 1 cup of choc. chip cookie dough
  • cottage cheese
  • chicken casserole (made with leftover fried chicken and stuffing mix and i really hated it)
  • fried okra
  • biscuit w/honey
  • vanilla yogurt

10 things i accomplished today:

  • trip to publix (although i forgot the bread)
  • played play-doh with harper
  • folded and put away a load of clothes (to do both in the same day is sometimes a big deal for me)
  • made and cleaned up 3 meals for my kids and me
  • took the girls to the pool
  • took a short nap
  • ran 2 1/2 miles at the gym
  • wrote a verse on the kitchen chalkboard: “a gentle answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger.”  can’t remember the address…proverbs something.
  • swept the floor
  • packed the girls’ clothes for this weekend

10 adults i “talked” to (via e-mail, facebook, or telephone):

10 things i hope i’ll get done tomorrow:

  • wake up before harper does
  • get dressed before harper wakes up
  • clean both bathrooms
  • bank
  • pick up shorts that i paid way too much to get a new zipper in (but i got them at goodwill and they’re REALLY cute)
  • have harper to school no later than 8:40.
  • narrow down business card options
  • possibly make a facebook “fan” page for my business
  • iron while watching “SYTYCD” on dvr
  • make beef stroganoff for dinner

One Comment to “i like lists.”

  1. love this post. and love the random musical selections at the gym.

also…fan page on FB…do it. everybody cool is doing it. 🙂 your encouragement pushed me over the “ok, we’ll do it” edge. so…this is me, doing the same…encouraging you to do it! 🙂
