date night

one day last week i stumbled onto a community calander website for jupiter.  one of the listings spoke of all-you-can-eat crablegs for $20.  that is an unheard-of price and i’ve been wanting crab for awhile.  i e-mailed ryan right away and we made plans to go (his sister would be in town to babysit)…it was going to be our christmas gifts to each other, since we never exchange gifts…we usually just buy something for the house that we want/need.

anyway, saturday night came around and we called the restaurant to confirm the rumor.  the girl on the phone said, no, that they actually did it on sunday nights.  so, sunday night came around.  we got ready and headed over (luckily erin was still around and still willing).  we walked in an inquired about the a.y.c.e. crab (which was a little embarrasing because it was a super nice restaurant).  at that, the hostess escorted us through a small hallway and into the “bar & grill” portion of the restaurant (not nearly as nice).  we asked the only waitress we saw (it was 5:06 pm and the place was empty) about the crab.  she proceeded to tell us that they only have the a.y.c.e. crab on saturday nights and that it’s not on the menu, you just have to request it.  ugh.  we’re not sure if they were lying or what, but it seemed shady.  mostly, i was just super disappointed because i wanted some crab!

we talked about going to eat somewhere else, but decided we didn’t want to spend the money if we weren’t eating crab.  we went to jersey mike’s and got subs.  here are a few pictures from our night (i had my camera with me so i could get pictures and blog about us eating crab legs 😦 ).
